Christy Marsden, owner and found of Yoga Blend in Burbank, CA first tried yoga in 1995 in Nashville, TN as a way to help relieve her chronic low back pain. Growing up dancing, swimming, tumbling and trampolining, Christy fell in love with yoga as she found it to be a great combination of her favorite things while also proving to be so much more. Having always been interested in psychology and helping other people, Christy was drawn to teaching yoga as it not only helped to heal her low back and provided a physical practice that she loved, it also helped to heal her mind and ultimately her relationships. She is passionate about sharing what she has learned with others. Christy teaches weekly group classes at Yoga Blend and works privately with students utilizing the traditional one on one method of teaching. She also teaches workshops on various topics from the physical practice to building better relationships to chanting and pranayama. She leads an annual 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training as well as several yoga retreats per year. Christy teaches an eclectic blend of the many styles she has studied (Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara, Restorative, Vini, Yin, Vinyasa, Power, Kundalini and more) combined with her passion for music, chanting, hooping, art and dance, resulting in a practice that inspires and uplifts while always respecting the uniqueness of each individual.
